Around 0100hrs yesterday morning the Palmyra Volunteers and surrounding mutual aid agencies responded to and quickly extinguished a working basement fire in the Township. We’d like to use this incident as a reminder of the importance of having working smoke detectors in your home as the homeowner was able to be alerted in their sleep and safely evacuate.

Attention Local Artists!
We are seeking your help and talent. Since we moved into our new fire station in 2017, we’ve been working hard to instill the pride and tradition of Palmyra Fire and the fire service as a whole within our building. We’ve done as much as we can, but we’d love to have some community input from any artists that would like to make a lasting impression within our fire station for all walking through the building to admire. Specifically, large murals highlighting the fire service and/or the historic town of Palmyra, quotes of meaning and motivation, and anything else you feel would suit the station. If you feel you’re up for the task or would like to discuss the idea further, please e-mail cmccullough@palmyrafire.com with your ideas, questions, and examples of your work! We do have photos of inspiration to provide if desired.
