Rescue Engine 1-1 has been placed back into service. It traveled to Fire Line Equipment to receive many needed upgrades. Palmyra Fire is extremely pleased with Fire Line Equipment's quality and attention to detail. The Rescue Engine returned with new LED emergency lighting, LED scene lighting, Holmatro battery-operated extrication tools, new cribbing, rope equipment, water rescue equipment, and new tires.

Palmyra Fire would like to thank everyone who has contributed to making the refurb of Rescue Engine 1-1 a success:

Recently, Palmyra Fire placed in service a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500. This will serve as the Duty Vehicle. This vehicle is assigned to the on-duty line officer. Each duty tour lasts one week and begins on Monday at 7:00 p.m. During their tour, the officer is responsible for commanding incidents and handling all logistical duties. Palmyra Fire thanks B. Last evening at 2239hrs, the Palmyra Volunteers were alerted to South Annville Township, (Campbelltown’s area), for a reported mobile home fire. Tower 1 w/4 and Wagon 1 w/5 made the response, performing searches and fire extinguishment. Crews operated for over three hours.
