An early rise up call, around 2 a.m. the Rescue Engine was called to Hummelstown borough, Dauphin county for a possible structure fire, smoke/odor of electrical inside. The Rescue-Engine (Lt-1 Gernert) was in route within minutes with 5 men, arriving on scene to take the RIT assignment with command now advising a working fire in the rear. Crews gathered their stokes basket and other RIT tools to standbye on scene in case of an emergency. The fire was knocked down shortly, crews packed up and went available. |
